Plant, haulage and lifting for the Paninaro Group and beyond. A modern fleet of excavators, telehandlers, dumpers, welfare and power, fitted with Leica machine control and delivered on our own beavertail from the Trim depot to sites within a three-hour drive.
Browse by category or search the fleet, then add machines to your quote.
Delivery address, on-hire date, duration and whether you need an operator.
Rates confirmed by the office within the working day. Delivered on our own transport.
Plant keeps its maker's colour and carries our name. Every machine is maintained in-house and logged against its fleet number before it leaves the depot.
Specifications are the manufacturers' European figures for each model and are confirmed on quotation. All plant is supplied with current inspection records. Operated hire is available on every machine.
Captive moves its own plant, which means it can move yours. The Scania beavertail with a Palfinger PK40002-EH crane covers plant transport and lifts in one visit.
Scania 8×2 rear-steer beavertail, 32 t gross vehicle weight with a 14-tonne payload: tracked and wheeled plant up to the 13–14 tonne class travels on the bed, with low-loader transport arranged for heavier machines.
Palfinger PK 40002 EH High Performance knuckle-boom crane on the beavertail, for placing cabins, tanks, trusses, steel and plant: 13.9 t close in, 3.9 t at 9.5 m.
Dumpers and hook-lift movements for spoil removal to licensed facilities and stone, sand and fill delivery back to site, coordinated with the excavator programme.
Manufacturer's European figures for the PK 40002 EH High Performance in its two-extension (B) configuration, as fitted to our Scania. Capacity falls as the boom reaches further out; the load chart below gives the maximum at each outreach.
| Outreach | Close in | 4.1 m | 5.8 m | 7.6 m | 9.5 m |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Lifting capacity | 13,900 kg | 9,100 kg | 6,400 kg | 4,850 kg | 3,900 kg |
Typical lifts: a 32 ft site office (about 3.5 t) at the full 9.5 m; a full 2,000 L fuel cube (about 2.4 t) anywhere in reach; a 3-tonne mini excavator on and off the bed; the ZX135US-6 (about 13.5 t) drives on and off under its own power. Anything heavier is planned closer to the column. Every lift is planned against the load chart for the outreach and slew required, with the crane's stabilisers fully deployed. Clients, lenders and neighbours judge a contractor by its plant. Clean machines with one consistent mark are a sign the programme is under control.
Hitachi, Manitou, Komatsu and Wacker Neuson machines, maintained in-house and checked against their fleet number on every hire.
MC1 machine control and GNSS rovers reduce overdig and human error, saving time and cost on every material movement.
Carded, experienced operators available on every machine. Safe Pass and CSCS on every operator we send.
No third-party haulage to wait for. Plant arrives when the programme says, and goes back the day it comes off hire.
Captive Hire Solutions is the plant and equipment company of the Paninaro Group. It owns and runs the fleet that MMC Contracts builds with on every Paninaro development, and hires to third parties when capacity allows. That in-group work is why the fleet is modern, busy and looked after.
Every hire, in-group or third-party, is covered by a written hire agreement specifying the machine, rate, term, delivery and maintenance responsibilities. Rates are set against prevailing Irish construction market hire rates and reviewed annually.
